Experience, both therapeutic and operational, is critical with the ability to regularly and clearly communicate with all parties involved.

QED Clinical Managers have an average of 8 years experience in conducting clinical research.
A QED Clinical Manager’s role includes the direct management of the project team and provides senior management at the sponsor and QED with the synthesis and analysis of project information, and reporting of the outcomes of that analysis. The CM serves as a senior operational contact at the project level, working across functions to assure the appropriate resourcing of the sponsor’s project and adjustment of those resources to meet the sponsor’s expectations and contracted milestones.

When appropriate, the project team within QED is structured so that the CM has responsibility for the project and maintains close liaison with the project team. Functional communication between the sponsor team and the QED team may exist at all levels of the project, but the primary point of contact within QED is the Clinical Manager. The CM communicates with the sponsor primary contact to ensure that the QED Project Team is always fully appraised of the status of the study and any potential issues.

QED Clinical Managers direct the preparation of a comprehensive project plan, conduct project training meetings, and routine project team meetings as appropriate. The Clinical Manager leads the QED team during teleconferences with the sponsor and ensures that minutes from these meetings are provided to the sponsor in addition to monthly administrative and status reports.

The QED Clinical Manager, as the primary project responsible person, is in place to ensure optimal efficiency and less complicated communication lines.
